Another historical enactment event coming up July 12-13 that you DO NOT want to miss!

I've been getting into these historical reenactments, ya know?
You saw my Civil War blog: you marveled at the detail of the reenactment of the battles, the living conditions, the costumes, the artillery;
Well, GUESS WHAT? ANOTHER UNBELIEVEABLE EVENT:
There will be a “Timeline Event” at Fort MacArthur the weekend of July 12-13!
What’s a Timeline Event? Reenactments of all conditions/costumes/living conditions/EVERYTHING to do with the group that the folks are playing.

HERE’S THE FUN PART;
A Timeline Event has people from all sorts of ‘engagements’ and history;
3 Roman legions
the Braveheart guys
Medieval knights
Pirates (and a lot of times they kidnap other reenactors, especially the women!)
Indians
Wild West cowboys complete with shootouts, quickdraw contests, displays
Revolutionary war guys-Colonists and the British
Spanish American War (lots of those guys since it’s the 110th anniversary of that war)
Civil War (of course)
WWI
WWII
Korean War
Vietnam War
The Japanese
Not all groups will be reenacting battles, but they WILL have all the ‘stuff’.

AND THE TOYS THEY BRING!
All sorts of weaponry/artillery/anything for a fight! (now you’re talkin’!)
Tanks
Trucks
Old cannons
Spears, bows, knives, pilums, scutums, shields, swords,
Gatlin guns, Hotchkiss guns, rifles with the sharp thingys on the ends, oh yeah, bayonets
Half tracks
Machine guns
Tanks (yeah, I know I said ‘em before, but they’re so CUTE!)
6 shooters
Cross draw holsters
Wonder if they’ll have Roman chariots?? Or any sacrifices to the Roman god Jupiter? I can suggest some participants for THAT

AND THE THINGS THEY WEAR AND DO!
Costumes for each specific group-Braveheart guys wear kilts (I wonder if it’s true what they wear…or DON’T wear underneath!? Probably find out easily since it’s usually windier than all getout up that way! Heh-heh-heh; I’ll have my camera…hmmm, now that I’m thinking about it, wonder if I’ll have to ‘modify’ my pics in whatever picture editor I happen to be using and put little ‘fig leaves’ in certain places?) This is for both men and women, so for the WWII era, Rosie the Riveters/WACs/WAVEs; Medieval times where men were knights and the women are clothed from the sternum down and leave very little if any imagination above that area, if you catch my drift;
Activities, living conditions, dances, war chants, anything to do with working themselves up to a frenzy
