Not to mention the chocolate chip cookies and I WISH I had bought more brownies...
To the right is an plus Bubski just kickin' back.

Colin, I am SO gonna kill you, would you getthehellouttatheway...

Ok, here's # one of Connie to the right....and there's # two, below, that I can probably post on Friendster for her....Connie's gonna kill me (after I take care of Colin)...ok, third pic's a charm, THAT one was great!

The Chef in a creative mood. ("Shall we grill the hot dogs clockwise or counter-clockwise?")

Below, Pete (aka 'dcougar2u' on the Forum) all dressed up aerodynamically.

MAN, those hot dogs were GOOD!!! WHOA!!!

Websites I Use A Lot (a work in progress)

Some are motorcycle related, some aren't. I'll give the name, brief description, & url.

EATERIES: Our first up is a place recommended by John R. and Johney H. called "Emma Jean's" in Victorville. This place is purported to have THE BEST biscuits and gravy, and was featured on the Food Network show, "Drive-Ins, Dives & Diners". http://www.hollandburger.com/contact.html
http://www.cookscorners.com/
http://www.hellskitchen-ca.com/

Now some ladies' sites I particularly like: http://www.vtwinmama.com/index.htm http://www.ridemyown.com/links/technical.shtml
http://www.ocspiritriders.org/

Next is some cool websites for SHOPPING!!! Leatherup and JCWhitney. I've purchased stuff from both sites, never been disappointed. Be sure to check out the sale/clearance links at both sites-I got some GREAT deals on Xmas gift stuff, helmets, my jacket, etc. http://www.leatherup.com/
http://www.jcwhitney.com/

And just general sites of interest I use all the time:
http://www.sigalert.com/ traffic
http://cad.chp.ca.gov/ (better, more detailed traffic info) www.myspace.com/comedy/daschmink (yes, I'm on MySpace, in the comedy section because I do standup at open mics around N. OC)
http://www.weather.com/ because you never know what kind of riding weather you're going to have, so I use the 36-hour link about 2 days before a ride, then a recheck the night before and that morning. I HATE to be surprised.
http://login.prospero.com/dir-login/index.asp?webtag=Star230&lgnDST=http%3A%2F%2Fforums%2Edelphiforums%2Ecom%2FStar230%2Fstart Here's the STAR 230 forum login webpage.
http://computer.howstuffworks.com/ http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/recenteqsus/Quakes/quakes_big.php What can I say? I'm big for emergency preparedness.
http://www.mapquest.com/ For figuring out routes for rides.

This site can be helpful at times, at least to get one over from 'the dark side'...or at least to stop and think
http://www.metanoia.org/suicide/
“Suicide is not chosen; it happens when one's pain exceeds one's resources for coping with pain.”
It is simply an imbalance of pain versus coping resources.

to be continued...

Chapter 230 Poker Run for the Orange Senior Center Meals On Wheels 09-21-08

this is a work in progress...suggestions and comments may be made with a $100 donation...

You'll THRILL to the pictures of motorcycles! You'll GAPE IN AWE that a motorcycle club can ACTUALLY LINE UP nicely!

You'll GROVEL IN HORROR at one motorcycle club member try to kiss another one who is holding up a donut and has NO CLUE what he's in store for!

You'll CHEER as those same two a**h...er, I mean motorcycle club members put up their hands during a photo shoot, thereby hiding their faces!!
You'll APPLAUD as the heroine (that's me, you doofusses) sits on a totally awesome western bike that matches her boots PERFECTLY!
You'll LAUGH at the antics of some of the inmates, er, I mean, some of the motorcycle club members!

You'll SOB as some poor schnook ties the knot at this free-for-all!
And you'll be STUPIFIED at the total amount of bullshit one person can put on a blog!
MAN, that bike matches my boots PERFECTLY!!!
The Orange County Biker Babes! front row Lynne S. & Ann Felkel: back row, Connie, Marge (Chapter 422 President and wearer of the Sacred Mouse Helmet) & Joyce, owner of the Official Biker Piggy. Below, our members ACTUALLY line up nicely to wait for their goodies! What's wrong with this picture, anyway? Well, at least ONE member acted like a biker-he cut in ahead of everybody. I don't like to name names or even hint who he is, BUT....he takes abuse WELL from me. (could be anybody in our chapter, come to think about it-I mean, who in their right mind would PISS OFF Beverage Girl?) On the right, do you SEE where they made me park? do you see it? It's in the HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE! I'm gonna go complain to Keith Regan, Director of this fine establishment and chastise him for allowing this group of miscreants and former inmates of the local loony bin to associate with the Senior Center. Below right, Joyce at Flo's Diner at the Chino Airport. I swear I LOVE the color of her hair when it's flying in the breeze from under her helmet-it's so SHINY and pretty.

Below again, the spark plug cables from Nathan's One Of A Kind, He Made It Hisself motorcycle. Note how they match the paint job. This is the bike that matches Yours Truly 's boots. I want that bike. I want to ride it with no helmet and my hair flying in the wind.
On the left, a very interesting bathroom faucet at the 4th poker stop at Fullerton-Anaheim Harley Davidson.

John Matis' 60th B-day party at Old World 09-20-08

After the Debi's Ride Poker Run, Barry and I ran over to the Oktoberfest at Old World in Huntington Beach for a friend's birthday party. I pretty much think the pictures speak for themselves, with only MINIMAL input from me.
John's parties are always, um, OCCASIONS, but this one blew out the candles of every other party I'd been to!!
John and Barry, and the birthday boy himself.

The headpiece, and the cake. (it's not what you think it is, it's a gravestone)

When John blew out his candles, his girlfriend Vicki pushed his head into the cake, so you KNOW where he was going with all that cake face...pictures of the victims are shown below.

Yup, he GOT me, the schweinhund! Looks like I got one of the best best kisses, judging by all the frosting on my face.

Below, no, it's NOT what you think, he's just showing me his, um, UNDERWEAR, yeah, that's it! UNDERWEAR. On the right, Eric (John's son) and daddy.
And below that on the right, where in the world does he get these damn outfits? Those knee socks are CLASSIC.

Pete's having a great time, as usual! John's brother.
Don't think I have to comment on the one t-shirt, and the other one...well, remember "The Man Show" on Comedy Central? Remember what they used to say just before chugging down a brewski? There you go!!

Debi's Ride Chapter 109 Poker Run 09-20-08 Work in Progress

BOY, this September 19-21st weekend was HAIRY BUSY!
Three of us (yeah, the 3 Musketeers ride again!) went up to Red Hill Park in Rancho Cucamonga for Chapter 109's fundraiser for Debi's Ride/Mariposa Cancer Foundation. (I love riding, but when I can ride for a great cause, well, that's just icing on the cake!) This particular ride was on a road that is near and dear to my heart-the Glendora Mountain Ridge road around Mt. Baldy/Azusa Rd.
We arrived WELL before everyone else (like around 8:20 AM) which just goes to show you how far SOME of us will go for a blasted ride pin!!
To the right, the biker babes of Chapter 345 out of Riverside, plus one. Below, a side car that says it all. (You probably can't see it, but the old man doll has a sign on him that says, "Pull my finger". I gotta meet this Margie for sure.

No, Johney, she's TAKEN, too bad, so sad.

Johney and Barry pose with Debi's Aunt Leyla and sister Julie.

Keith, Lynne & Barry. (Stacy, you are SUCH a chicken! Just get USED to the fact that people are gonna take your picture, so do it!)

The three of us arrive at the ungodly hour of 8:20 AM, almost ahead of some of the ride organizers!
Oh, yeah, LOOK who is first to go when the Group Leader says "Five minutes"! You've been hanging around Chapter leadership too damn long, me bucko. Of course, Barry's 2nd ready, and guess who is DEAD LAST? But hey, they can't leave with out their Group Leader...can they? Below right is Mark Murray's group-he ALWAYS HAS TO BE FIRST. ALWAYS.

At the third stop, Camp Williams in the Glendora mountains (where, by the way, we did our anniversary/Mother's Day ride on May 11th) So we had already done the pre-ride, even if it WAS 4 months ago!

The Barbano-Mobile. DAMN that thing looks wicked lovely! It looks like...yes, I believe it looks like...'Snakes. Why did it have to be....snakes". Below are more pics of Mr. Wonderful's bike, and two videos. Check out the pic of his rear view mirrors, if you can call them that. Personally, they're not big enough for me and putting on makeup, but I guess he didnt' think that was too important for him. Note that at the end of the one video, he says, "Yeah, occasionally it'll shoot out flames"... Oooooookkkkkaaaaayyyyy.
