Going up to Provo to see Laine

We drove up to see Laine the week of May 11-16, since we hadn't seen him and it made a nice trip for us. Our 30th wedding anniversary and Barry's birthday were all the same week. so we went up to one of the most beautiful places I've ever been...Provo, UT.
Laine grew a mustache just so he could freak us out, then he shaved it off right after.
He and his friends had a little get together the day we got there, so it was nice to meet all these kids that he talks about so much. Below, Laine doing air guitar which doesn't make much sense since a perfectly good guitar is about 2 feet away from him...the trophies are, I think, from his ballroom dancing/DanceSport, competing as a novice.

Travis and Laine enjoying a not-so-quiet moment.

Surprise! No mustache.

On the right, "Mom, will you STOP taking pictures?"

Some of Laine's friends, below, enjoying the TV. Yeah, great party, Laine. When can we go to sleep?

The view from a couple streets away from his place. How can you ever want to move away from this area?

He took us for a scenic ride out Provo Canyon way, to Bridal Veil Falls, the Provo river and up to Sundance. Yeah, THAT Sundance.

He said that this road is one of his faves for motorcycle riding.

Provo and Provo Lake in the distance. He took us up high to show us the lights.
