They had 11 new people riding with the Riverside Chapter so I was tapped to be a shepard for a really cool couple, Mark and Alyce Dooley. You can see the Integretron in the background.
The ride to the Integretron took about 2 hours or so (including a gas stop). The Integretron is, well, weird but in a really far-out, interesting way.
After taking off our shoes and boots, we went up a steep ladder to this large round room where everyone laid on the floor onto mats, carpets and sleeping bags (yeah, it looked like one HUGE Riverside 345 slumber party). We had a 'sound bath' upstairs in the most acoustically-amazing room inside and at the top of this geodesic dome. While lying on our backs, one of the ladies that own the property made a type of sound with these glass bowls and these wood pieces that looked like pestles. The sound was not unlike when you put a wet finger on the rim of a fine crystal glass and move it around to make a 'bell' sound, only more piercing. The sound actually DID go in one ear and out the other. Very calming and soothing. The owner gave an overview of the property, with 3 rivers flowing and meeting directly underneath the dome, and I guess an geologist-type engineer fella said that there was the most amazing geomagnetic 'spike' going direction up the middle of the Integretron. The dome was built by a guy who thought it would be a great landing pad for aliens (it was built right after the Roswell incident, in 1947).
